I carry my phone, a bottle of water and worry. Walking it off here confirms for me at least, the importance of large green spaces in cities for people to relax, exercise, picnic, meet with friends and family, decant the day.

This place is wild. Wild in landscape, wild in history, and be warned - wild with packs of runners. They mean business - step aside or become one.

My watch records 26 kilometres. Tired, but mentally replenished, I buy bath salts on the way to my hotel because tomorrow …
